Welcome Sophie I am sure you will get lots of tips from others but my plan is I eat healthily plenty of fish chicken plenty of veg with meals. Don't live on salads at every meal. Always make sure you have breakfast. I keep telling people to have a small glass of unsweetened grapefruit juice in the morning as that works for me. Shop so that you don't run out of ideas...

Well done Kiki and not a bad move as long as you limit it now. If you did not have a treat it would get boring. So well done.
Off I go to lunch and have my will power in my hand bag :-)
My will power jumps out as soon as I see the sweets on menu. Have a nice lunch.
Well done, Kiki!
My will power went out to lunch too......oh dear....
Well done Jan and everyone else who has lost.

I haven't lost anything this week but I reckon I put some on from last weekend and then lost it by today when I weighed myself. Which is good as I ate all sorts last weekend.
OK I'm struggling here. I've just been for milk and only milk to Tesco. However when I got near the tills, there were the big bags of Giant Milky Bar buttons at half price. They are my favourite treat anyway, and obviously at half price, a bargain. Before I knew I was walking out with both milk and buttons. Should I eat them and get it out of my system or cut my losses (half price) and throw them in the wheelie bin? I already know the correct answer, but sometimes you just need someone else to say STOP! Going to brew up to distract myself. :)
Smash them up and mix them with coffee grounds or any uneatable rubbish and then bin them.....hope this gets to you in time. We will be so proud of you for binning them........remember it could take weeks or months to get rid of the weight that only gave you satisfaction for the short time that you were eating them.........
Don't do it Kacee!!!! Are there any children in the neighbourhood who would take sweets from a stranger :-)? That would show real will power, but whatever you do don't open them as one chocolate button always leads to 21 or more chocolate buttons.

Have your brew and swap the chocolate for a nectarine or whatever fruit you have in the house.
Thanks xstitcher and Maidup. I made myself a nice cup of Earl Grey and decided I didin't want to spoil the taste of that after all. I'll take them into work on Monday-honest!- and let others eat them instead. So glad I came on here instead of giving in. Thanks! :)
Good for you Kacee. Well done!! I hope that your resolve stays with you all weekend. I'm not sure I could do that.
Well done - onwards and downwards
Good for you, Kacee! My will power seems to be slipping badly today and yesterday. I just want to eat all the time. Find myself continually going through the food cupboard to get something to nibble at. Took myself out for a second walk this afternoon as a bit of a distraction but the longing for something nice is still there!
I have had days like that Spotit. That is why I can't have any goodies in the house. What you can have are the baby carrots. They are filling but not as satisfying as what you are probably thinking of, but they do the trick.
I don't know what triggers off these "hungry days"....any ideas out there????
Well done Kiki for not opening them.
Xstitcher I think we feel hungry because we are always thinking of food that we can't have. We see all these adverts on tv of cream cakes and sweets and the first thing you feel is that it has gone to your brain and you feel hungry. If I have something in my cupboard which was for my grandson when he comes it worries me all the time I keep thinking about it and sometimes it bothers me that much I will eat it then I feel awful and could kick myself. Food is on your mind all the time when you are trying to eat sensible. But we carry on and do our best .
I think you are right Wendilla because I tried just now to turn those ads around to adds for carrots, brocolli etc and I certainly didn't get the same feeling as I would for a certain type of hamburger. hmmmmmmmm and....you are right we are ruled by food from when we get up until bedtime, although I do think that planning your meals a week or even a few days ahead lessens the pressure. I just have a sticky note on my fridge of meals for the days until the next grocery shop.

Yes Xstitcher I think we have hit the nail on the head. At the moment I am arguing with myself shall I have a sausage with my bacon treat this morning. The sausage won but it is pork and apple so part of my 5 a day. Not a good example of a weight loss but I won't be having lunch just late breakfast.
Pork & apple sausage one of your five a day LOL :-D
Either a rather small part, or a large sausage mainly apple then.
That said someone served me with bacon & sausage Sunday morning, but my excuse was I wasn't at home so didn't have the same say/control. And yes it covered lunch too. Was still fractionally above target on the day though.
