I'll be travelling from Sheffield to Bristol on the Friday before Christmas, did the same journey same day last year via M5, M4 and M32 through the city centre onto Knowle BS4, but we got badly delayed going into city centre.
Can anyone give me an easier way to get from M5 to Knowle please.
Thanks for any advice.

Start as before. Leave the M32 at Jn 1. Take the first exit off the roundabout, onto the A4174 (eastbound). Continue until meeting the A4, where you turn right towards Knowle.

.......or leave the M32 at J3, A4320 via St Philip's Causeway to the A4 at Arnos Court and over Brislington Brook, then up the hill and right on to the ring road to Knowle.

no route is going to be free of traffic.......
