I know the setter has been contacted about the wording on the quiz sheet and he stated in response that he did not want anyone to ask for any sort of help on the internet. I believe he is aware of this thread and the previous one started by the same original poster, both of which are therefore contrary to the rules of the quiz.
In addition the setter has stated on the past on this site "If people refuse to obey the rules set by the compiler please do not enter the quiz".
Thank you Griselda - but I've decided not to enter this quiz - it's a shame as the charity will miss out but I feel quite bullied about this and am just walking away.
I think quiz setters should make the rules clear so that they can be followed. I just asked for a clue in good faith.
Beverley, as has been quoted several times, it is not the duty of AB to comply with setters requests re their competitions. If a question is asked it is up to the AB member whether, or not, to post an answer.
