Having chemotherapy for lung cancer Now got thrush in mouth and have to use a clear gel. Overnight , ( I put it on my dentures ) the gel turned bright green . Is this normal ?...

Transferred from Body and Soul Yes, it is quite common for thrush to be a secondary feature of chemotherapy, due to many causes but the main one being depression of the immune system caused by the drugs affecting "normal" defense cells. what is the gel called?
Apparently yes - gel turning green is normal. Talk to your oncologist for reassurance and to explain other possible side effects of chemo.

I can assure the poster who suggested that I was confused during chemo that I am not confused about chemotherapy, just wanted to know if this gel was doing it's job in eliminating one of the side effects of the chemo
