Quiz answers all relate to UK Place names, historic sites, buildings, landmarks, sporting venues, etc.

thanks for answers to earlier post (thought some fresh minds might have the missing links) .. happy to be given pointers if do not want to give direct answer..

1. Metal-plater in House of Lords? (6,4)

2. Treat argument with contempt (5,5)

to treat an argument with contempt could be to brook it. Could Brook figure in the answer as in Brook Green or Bechers Brook. Just a longshot!
