I am not sure this is the correct topic so please forgive me but I bought a copy this dvd after listening to Frank Cottrell Boyce on Desert Island Disc a couple of years ago and I just wondered if anyone knew anything about the children who starred (and there is no other word) on it

PS Just out of interest, I think I am right in saying that former pupils of the Rutland Street school were Peter Sheridan (born 1952) an Irish playwright, screenwriter and director, and his brother, the film director Jim Sheridan. Peter has written a couple of books about his childhood, links below. I'll shut up now!

I remember watching this, it's very good. Try as I might though, I can't find out anything about Mary, the little girl, the only credit is given to the school teacher.
My daughter bought me this (on the old steam-driven VHS!) some years ago after she went to live in Dublin with her partner. It is a joy to listen to and very funny - once you get your ear in for the accent - and a look back at more innocent times. Here's a link to what has happened to the old Rutland Street National School.
