If Answerbankers HAD to choose on a TOTAL ban of ALL forms of religion OR a total ban on all forms of alcohol , in our society , how would they vote ?

But if I had to choose banning religion OR alcohol... thats easy.. Alcohol.!!!. More freaks and bad things happen every day to people because of drunks driving and starting fights, sleeping with people and spreading disease because there to drunk to put on a condom.. .. geese the list is endless of the bad things that come from drinking alcohol..

Religion, no contest. You may get a few drunks causing agro on the weekend but come on Relgion is the daddy when it comes to trouble. Most trouble for the last 40,000 years can be attributed to religion.

I would chose religion everytime for the same reasons as shaneystar2 and Loosehead. Religion causes more trouble the whole world over than any other thing!

The protestants and catholics didn't seem very tolerant in Ireland ..neither did Bloody Mary when she burnt heretics at the stake or the Spanish Inquisitors..I'm sure the Jews were really tolerant when they were forced to wear a star of David on their clothing and then gassed for their beliefs. War is still going on in the name of religion .Religious factions in Iraq for example .....I need a drink !

I could never place religion above democracy. The world is full of people who try to impose their religion on others, be it in small ways or large. There's no way to ban religion - it's part of how our minds work and probably has great survival value. But Jaysus what a blessing it would be if we could learn to keep 'God' out of politics, discussions on morality et cetera. We really should 'play God.' I know that's supposed to be a bad thing. I just don't agree.

Tougher penalties for drunken driving would be great. Having said that, I'll also say
