A fitting and powerful monument.
Its wonderful that this memorial is there at last. If we forget what went before, we will be forever in danger that it will happen all over again.

Not red!!!? The Welsh dragon is red!! It looks good to me!
I think it look bleeding marvelous !
I'm with Scrivens, I don't like the dragon...tacky!
Tacky ! Flipping heck !

Isn't anybody else going to defend the ddraig goch ?
It's the symbol of Wales, I don't suppose it will be changed anytime soon, I,m an English man living in Wales and I'm proud of our Welsh Dragon!

I don't have a problem with the dragon, it's on a par with the one at the Mametz Wood Memorial:

I think once it gets 'weathered in' a bit it will look resplendant.

What do you make of the Mametz Wood one, Scrivens?
I think it's striking in it's ferocity and appearance.
I find it sad that we are still at war and killing each other a hundred years down the line.

Who is the guy with the dead dog on his head in the seventh picture?
I think it is Erwin Ureel.
Thank you mamya - he really is a bit Unreal :-)

I like the dragon - it is something that is very Welsh. If you asked maybe they could give it a Leek.

We'll have to disagree I suppose.
For me, both are unique yet capture the essence and spirit of a nation and equally portray the indomitability of all those young men who set out with the best of intentions for their Empire and country.
They're very fitting and poignant memorials IMHO.
God Bless our Men of Harlech.
I don't give a flying fig what people say about the colour of the dragon. The Welsh Dragon is RED. You do not see mauve daffodils and pink Leeks !!!

I think it is fabulous.
I think it's hideous, but having a memorial is good.
