Yes of course it bothers me. It permanently affects how I appear, not to mention degrades my own self image. It would not be normal to be unbothered. Besides most of the time they are typos rather than misspellings.

It only bothers me in cases where spelling/grammar/ punctuation is so poor that there is a danger of misunderstanding what is meant.
This is often a problem in 'Law' questions where someone is asking what will happen when they are in court accused of a crime.The descriptions of 'what happened' can be difficult to understand correctly, yet a precise understanding is often vital.

People who like to give the impression they’re educated but nevertheless make the same grammatical and spelling errors time and time again, so not typos, irritate me, as do the big heads who can’t resist telling others their English is not up to scratch. That says more about them than it says about the person they're criticising. If you get your message across in whatever way you can, that’s fine by me. Carry on typing, TWR. ;o)
