Personally I find it very offensive that a member would use 911, a major terrorist incident, as the basis for a "comedic" caricature. Very poor taste.

It is offensive, insensitive and abhorrent. Especially if you have had relatives involved in the 911 tragedy.

I'm talking about an avatar.
"Labour supporter trying to get the jews into trouble?"

That's slipperly slander.
I agree with Tora Tora Tora about it being in poor taste.
Then again someone must like it.
Perhaps if we understood what message it was meant to say? I don't.
It's pretty dodgy isn't it?
If Thatcher had been on this site she would have used a Broomstick as her Avatar . This is just a case of TGTT stirring it again
It is poor taste as I've relatives in NY.
sevenOP 17.57, SPOT ON !.
So that's an acceptable image then, is it, gulliver?
Unfortunately this will be clouded by the individual posters on one side or the other. One thing is for sure if I (or the majority of posters who don't make a name for themselves in News) put up an avatar that made a cartoon of a 911 photo it would be banned immediately. I've seen several far less offensive avatars banned on here in the past.

I think that your avatar is very threatening also.
Try answering the question for once in your life.
How many avatars have you had banned, TTT?

And yes, it is in poor taste.
I hadn’t deigned to study this persons avatar (or anything else to do with them) too closely. But add me to those who thing it is certainly pathetic. Whether it’s deemed bannable or not.

I don't remember ever having an avatar banned ummmm.
Question Author
ich can you see what it is though? It becomes clear when you see the bigger version on the persons profile page. Click on the link.
TTT...you have. In your other names!
Question Author
nope ummm you are going to have to find an example of that. I'm pretty sure I have never had an avatar banned.
It is an unpleasant image - as Prudie says a lot depends on what the person using that avatar is trying to project.

I know what I think it says about them to me but that's my problem I suppose.
