When a ABer is happy to divulge information about themselves and family circumstances and they are reminded of such posts in future threads can a extra rule be inserted that the original poster has no comeback if that reminder may cause embarassment due to a new thread where their past is bought back to them. i.e. If I disclose on a public forum that my son has joined the armed forces then I cannot press the report button and complain if another ABer broaches the subject at a later date and I complain of a personal attack.Boy does it happen and it isn't funny because the information that is freely given comes back to bite them and the Aber gets a suspension It is not personal. It refers back to an original thread.

I do not think that this is something we are going to investigate. There is no specific rule regarding using shared information, but if the use of such shared information breaks existing Site Rules then your answer will be removed. This could be classed as harassment or abuse, so please try and play nice.
It's answer Bank so the info you have divulged in the past is banked, and you've freely given it so it can be dredged up in future threads, just be wary of what you want to post, that's the thing with this site, some of you think you're in some exclusive club, community, it is a website and once you type and submit it here or anywhere else on the internet, it's available for all.

retrocop is forewarning us (or more specifically one person in particular......work it out for yourselves) that he will be making reference to previously disclosed information and that he expects to receive no censure for doing so....however inappropriate or petty those references may be.
If you are going to behave like a child, a request to 'play nicely' seems to be age-appropriate, to me.

Maybe to you, but not to all of us as "play nicely" is a response to an opinion suggesting childish behaviour....that is an opinion and also patronising and demeaning of which the Ed team should be above.

Do not disclose anything on a public forum that you would not be prepared to stand up in a public place and disclose.
