CD-RW drive on my PC is malfunctioning (keeps opening/closing of its own accord) - help!

Can anyone help me - my CD-RW drive on my PC keeps opening and closing. The button doesn't work anymore either, you have to push it closed and right-click on the CD-RW icon & choose eject to open it....
