How do I find year of publication?

I have an old cookery book but it does not have a year of publication anywhere in it nor does it have a publication number. Is there a way I can find out the year of publication? Thanks....

Noisy pump in airing cupboard

Hi, We've just fitted a pump for our power shower but its a bit noisy when the showers going. Is there a way we can cover it in some way to muffle the noise? Thanks...
