checking concert tickets aren't fake...

Does anyone know how you could go about having someone check your ticket out before a concert to make sure it isn't fake?  Bought tickets to U2 -  I can compare them myself with what I know...

I am trying to find a particular edition of Bulfinch's mythology.  I have bought 2 editions so far on ebay, even an original 1913, but none have the particular illustrations of the one I am...
