AJS pottery

I've a small,partially glazed pottery jar with AJS embossed in a square.I've checked all the books of studio potters with no success.Can anyone help identify it?

Glass makers markings.

Can anyoneone help me identify the maker of a cakestand which I think is pressed glass?The symbol shows a crown (like our Imperial state crown with a cross on top)and it looks like J 2 written inside...

Disposing of scrap metal

Mystery damp
