Manhole Covers

Block paviour manhole cover is too heavy for me to lift (I'm old) What is the easiest way to either get a lighter one or will it be necessary to rebuild the top of manhole ?

Paving slabs

Can I lay paving slabs directly on to a rough shabby concrete yard? would I be able to do a mix of sand and dry cement to bed them on ?

I have a Baxi gas fire. At the back behind the artificial coals, it has a Polystyrene type of liner which has broken.

what is the liner called (which is not around the sides) only a back panel (225mmx220mm) Is it polystyrene that has been fireproofed and where can I get a replacement from? Fire is about 10 years old...

Is it still possible to buy Crushed Coconut Shells. I had some about 5 years ago and found them a good deterrent against cats . My local garden centre no longer stock it.
