It should do if the minimum volts it requires is 220 volts.

I believe Germany amd the UK both now operate a mains voltage of 230V in line with the rest of Europe.

I would expect a generator rated at 220/380 V AC would be a three phase unit.

The ratio between phases and phase to neutral is the square root of three, while is almost precisely the ratio of 380/220.
A) It's a generator - so that's telling you what it generates, not what you connect to it.

B) Are you sure it isn't 3 phase, not single phase. Don't plug anything rated at 220/230/240V single phase into it - BANG!! (not that you should be able to, unless you made a special cable to do it....)
