Watch them argue with their partners over what to buy, listen to them moaning about empty shelves, marvel at their poor fashion sense, wonder how the hell they chose such ridiculous names for their kids, etc, etc. Who needs 'reality TV' when it's so much more fun just to wander around Asda!
I also enjoy trying to work out what the tannoy messages (such as "Code 222 in Aisle 8") mean. However I've yet to see someone with flowers in their hair and smoking a spliff respond to "Would a chilled colleague please come to Customers Services" or a snowman attend a similar call for a "frozen colleague". Also I'm still not sure to expect when I hear "Would all colleagues please get ready to rumble". Synchronised wind-breaking, perhaps?
I tend to get what I need and get out as soon as possible. My OH likes to wander and look at almost every single item. Especially in Lidl where he loves to get a bargain grill or set of saucepans or whatever. It drives me nuts.
Thanks everyone--all interesting answers. asked the question because , my lovely, neighbour and myself are similar in age,( ancient), and status,( single now),we both shop on the same day.I am back home in an hour tops, she comes back in around four !!!!!.
