I've lost count of the number of hours spent trawling the shops and internet for ideas.

It's my Aunt and Uncles Golden Wedding Anniversary in September, and I obviously need to get them a gift.

They are a very young late 60's (of age) couple. love gardening and socialising.

I've looked at all the usual stuff which might suit, (golden roses for garden, bottles of wine, etc.) but want to get them something a little more quirky.

About £50 is my limit

Any Abers have any ideas?

they do some unusual gifts, and thing you can have personalised. You can set max price as well when searching.
Get them a gift from the era they got married in (mid '60's). There are plenty of retro shops on Ebay (I have one). Just type in retro 1960's and you'll get up lots of funky stuff from that era that is sure to bring back memories of their early married years.
A bottle of bubbly or vodka with flecks of pure gold in.

You have until September to find one, but here's a quick example ...

I know people who have taken time to nake r4elatives a special hamper for their golden wedding., putting in it anything with the word GOLD in it, eg. gold blend coffee, terrys all gold chocolates, etc. It was very well received and they were so pleased to think they had put so much thought behind it.

What about a photo album?

Hold on - hear me out...

What you do, is you mail all the relative you can think of, asking them to mail you with digital pictures of your aunt and uncle over the years, then you use one of the online photo album services to create a book with the shots (maybe in chronological order?)

The great thing is a) you can definitely do this for £50 and b) hopefully your relatives will dig up photos that your aunt and uncle had completely forgotten about.

That is a great idea.
