A friend of mine recorded this song from the radio when he lived in Australia in the 1980's. It SOUNDS like the Fureys and Davey Arthur singing it, but part way through it is interrupted by what sounds like a group of drunken Irishmen, saying "pass me another bottle, Paddy",etc. For some reason my friend wants to buy a commercial recording of it, if it is available. I myself wonder if it was the radio DJ himself who did the mix like Kenny Everett used to do. But I just wondered if anyone has heard of this comedy version?

The only act I would know of I'd Kevin Bloody Wilson, it may have been one of his.

Thanks flobadob, I'll pass that answer on to my friend, and let him do the research now we have a name in the pot.
( I've only just seen your answer after all this time, I must have seemed ungrateful, so thanks again for the input)
