I'm sending off my book of raffle tickets to the charity Breast Cancer Care - full book for £12. The first prize is £5,000. My husband pointed out that in the unlikely event that I won, I would probably give it all back to them as I would feel too guilty taking away from a charity. He might be right. What would you do if you won so much money from a charity raffle?

A noble thought do as you feel right with and I'm sure it will be the right thing .
Good luck, Misky....my last raffle win was a carton of custard...now out of date.
I once won a class raffle....for a box of Milk Tray. When I went to collect it from Sister Superior she had exchanged it for a gaudy, plastic holy picture...:-(
I subscribe to a charity lottery and won at a time when they were experiencing some really tricky adverse publicity. Nevertheless I took the money and booked a weekend break and paid for some new things at home. What indeed is the point of entering if you don't want to win, in my case £2k? Instead set up a regular donation.
PS perhaps someone would remind me of that when I claim I never win anything!
I'd probably donate some back to the charity and split the rest with my family. Might help them have a holiday.
