I sent for some car air freshners from Groupon. They were advertised as 'each pack contains an assortment of 10 flavours' It then list the 10 assorted fragrances in each pack. This morning an envelope arrived which contained just 1 freshner which isn't even in the list, it's called Lemon Lavender and it smells horrible.Surely they won't be sending each one in a separate envelope? What would you expect from this description, 1 or 10? Many thanks.

I wanted to know what others would expect from the wording of the advert. If everyone said they would only expect 1, then I would accept I had read it wrong and I wanted to know if others would complain to Groupon if it happened to them.
Mrs av most probably would, Barsel. Because it would have been her and not I that would order that type of item.
The small print includes the note "Original value: Based on online price as sold by My Planet Online, checked on 20 Apr 15."

If you go to the My Planet Online website (link below), you will see that 3 candles cost £25, so how you expect 10 for £2.99 defies belief. I know Groupon deals can be attractive, but ..........

Canary42 I must admit I didn't see that. So 3 cost £25 which is £5 each so the Groupen deal was £2.99 + £1.99 P&P so it costs about the same. Maybe I should just learn to read the small print. Think I will still phone them though as there was nowhere you could choose which fragrance you wanted and the one they sent isn't even listed. Plus I don't think they should list them as a pack when they are not. I am prepared to lose the argument with them though now I've seen what the prices of them are.
Three items at £25 = £8.33 each, not £5.
I bought my wife a selection of yankee candle things for her birthday, they're so strong though, have to be kept in a plastic container in a drawer until she can burn all the bloody things. I think you're best returning it, an enclosed space like a car is no place for a yankee candle - unless it's a convertible!
Advert is easy to understand

£2.99 for one pack (43% off)
£5.48 for two packs (47% off)
£7.99 for three packs (49% off)

no mention what so ever of 10.
ck, its not a candle its a car jar, a gel car air freshener.
These "air fresheners" contain lots of artificial smells created from different combinations of organic chemicals....and all of them make me feel sick. I wouldn't have them in a car....real aromatherapy oils are a much better bet.
Everyone knows Yankee Candles arent cheap, so i would only have expected one for that price.
For that kind of price, id wrap it in a polythene bag and put it in the dustbin. Not worth the hassle .
