I've had various people at my home lately and am puzzled to find in the cupboard under my sink a pink plastic container (a bit like a shallow brick). On the container is the word GHIACCIO; 12 ORE STYLE, and various words that are difficult to read - something to do with putting it in a freezer and not to be opened. I don't know where it came from or who put it there, but it worries me not knowing what it is. Can anyone enlighten me please?

Is it coloured blue (because they usually are!).

'Ghiaccio' is Italian for 'ice'. It's one of those freezer packs that you chill down in your freezer and then put inside a picnic bag (or similar) to keep the contents cool:

A block that you freeze and put in picnics etc to keep them cold.

Thanks for your replies. This one is coloured pink. Perhaps someone thought they were doing me a good turn and giving me something useful, but I don't like this sort of surprise.
Pink, eh? These Italians sure have style!
