Before you depart on holiday do you clean your house so it's nice for when you return ? I do, clean everything and put clean sheets on the bed too so all that's to be done is unpacking, washing and food shopping on return.

Yes I do. Also in case of anything going horribly wrong and someone having to come into our home.
Did the same when I used to do on-call shifts at the hospital.
Yes I do that also. I always pack a few hours before I leave so all the washing etc must be done before I pack. On return same as you but I have been known to wash & dry before return when able.
I do. It's nice to come home to a lovely house. Why do we go away?
Yes, if anything happens to me whilst I am away I would like the place to be tidy.
...and always wear clean underclothes before going out in case you get knocked down by a bus. (Words of wisdom from my grandma).
Who has a spare key though?
It's buried in a grave in the church next door...not saying which one.....
I leave it neat, people come in to feed the cats, but I don't go overboard.

Always. It's so lovely to come home to a twinkly clean hose, fresh bed linen and air freshener plug ins that have kept it all smelling sweet and not fusty.
