I'm about to sell an expensive item on gumtree. (£400 approx.)

I'm normally pretty cautious with stuff like this, and have sold cheaper items for cash without any problem.

With it being an expensive item I'm just wary of whether the banknotes used to pay for it would be genuine or not. I've checked out all the ways to check for counterfeit notes but I feel a bit uncomfortable checking whilst they are here buying the item.

Any advice?

Never feel uncomfortable checking the notes - just make light of it.

Done it many times for very large amounts.
Use PayPal.
Put it in the ad
for your security and mine all notes will be tested

Yeah I was considering putting it in the ad, but then I thought it might be best to let them know that notes will be checked either via text (if they contact me on phone) or email .

Thanks for the help.
