I received this email this morning:

We recorded a payment request from "WilliamHill" to enable the charge of £4.75 on your account.
The transaction will be shown on your statement as "WHILL018491".

If you want to decline the £4.75 billing to your card, please continue to our page.

Sounds very much like a scam to me - I would never, ever click on a link from a source I'm not 101% sure of. The mere fact that the hsbc has a dot in front of it isn't right.

RSVP - yes, I'm sure it's a scam. I got the very same email last week before "Spam & Scams" was given its own Topic. As you say, the .H.S.BC is a giveaway, together with no personal name etc - a very amateur attempt.
Bin it!
surely only anyone with a william hill and hsbc account would be tempted to open the link?
