18 months to loose between 75-100 lbs. perfectly do able.. I don't get much time to myself so can't go to the gym. I'm limited for space so I'm wanting the best for a full body work out. Baring in mind I'm starting at 245lbs! Although the cross trainer says it's a low cardiovascular workout but still good for working off calories. Does that mean theoretically I could last longer on that than a rowing machine? I'm swaying more to the

I would suggest the cross trainer! It is better to improve more parts of your body and to get muscles everywhere! Since january I use a cross trainer and I have to say the shapt of my body improved a lot!
Exercise is more for good health than losing weight. Every little helps of course, but you can do a lot of exercise on a little energy.

Years past when I actually used to go to the gym (!) I use to find the rowing machine hard going. I'd suspect the cross trainer is easier to stay enthusiastic about, regarding using it regularly. But I may be wrong.

Just to add, if I had the space/money I'd go for a bike. One can build up a sweat and get breathless in a low gear, or turn the resistance up and build muscle. I'm unsure how "full body" it is, but it's less likely to result in me putting it off for another day, each day.
