A friend has bought me a small photo frame from a charity shop because she thought I might like it, and I do. The problem is, it only takes photos that are 3"h x 2" w and I don't have any photos that small. If I take a 4" x 6" photo to somewhere like Max Spielmann, can they make them smaller?
Many thanks. x

they should be able to. Or do you know anyone with Photoshop (or similar) on their computer? It's dead easy

Hi jno, 'fraid i don't know anyone with photoshop. Got a feeling it's going to cost me more to get a photo printed than it cost my friend to buy the frame! :-)
Ive got some tiny frames too. Ive just cut the photos down, no problem!
Find a 6x4 where the relevant part is only 3x2 ... then take a pair of scissors to it.
Most "snap-shots" contain elements that are not really necessary in order to compose a meaningful picture. As sunny-dave suggested, just crop one so that it only contains what is needed.
Surely some other free photo editing programme will do the job, once you have scanned and copied the photo to your computer?
I'm pretty sure that you can do it using "Paint". Click on "Image", and then play around with "Stretch and Skew" until you get what you want.
good advice from aog. Buenchico, who knows about these things, usually recommends Irfanview

or you could use the "crop function"
in this case a pair of scissors

Sorry but I cannot print photo's myself as my printer is hopeless at this. I spent a lot of time sorting photo's out some months ago and arranged them into photo albums and I honestly don't have a photo I would want to crop. Thanks for your suggestions. x

I can scan and resize a photo and put it on a memory stick, but just wanted to know if Spielmanns or others can print 3 x 2". x

Or... if they set it at 4 x 6" would I get the small image in the middle that I can cut round?
Can anyone point me in the direction of somewhere that sells tiny frames?
I have just been given a 100 year old photo of my Nan. It measures 3" high x 1.75" wide and I would love to frame it and display it
Wilco sell a selection of frames.
Thanks canary. I will be in a town that has a Wilco next Tuesday so I will make a point of going in
What program are you using when you say you can resize?

There is a website called pixlr. If you use it to edit your photo, then make the canvas NOT the image size 6x4 you can then have your photo with blank space around.
