Letter Punch

What is the name of the letter punchers that people used years ago, popular late 80s/ early 90s I think? It was a roll of double sided white tape that you punched black letters into and then peeled off the back and stuck onto something. Think the actual contraption was usually made out of red plastic.

Do they have a name?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Would it be the Dymo label system you're thinking of, I remember it more as raised white letters on a coloured background so maybe it's not the same thing.

The Dymo label makers and tapes came in a variety of colours.
