To be honest number three is my current status on my love of cats.

It's neither. This image has been circulated for years and it was proven that it's an illusion. They aren't even stairs, it's a flat platform designed to make you think they are stairs. The lighting is put in place to make you think the shadows suggest the cat is walking downstairs.
