My favourite answer bank friend! Hehe

Me again! I went to the doctors in the end regarding the periods every 2 weeks give or take a couple of days.
Now on my 4th in 7.5 weeks. I did bleed slightly after intercourse so I felt the need to visit my gp (although there was no pain during or after) and it seemed to carry on bleeding so I'm assuming it may just be another cycle?

Still slightly sensitive breasts and getting period pains in between but not sure if that's normal if I was due to come on again with the 2 week cycle.

My gp had a look at my cervix and said it looked normal to her, but due to it changing suddenly she'd rather I was seen by a gynaecologist for a review.

Do you still feel it's probably a hormone imbalance? As your opinion always means a lot to me..
Thank you

Commonest things occur commonest and the commonest cause of your symptoms is a hormonal disorder.

The post coital bleeding is suspicious, but as the GP looked at your cervix and it was normal, then i shouldn't worry.

A gynaecological opinion is a good idea.

As always.. You rock x
LOL. Keep me informed eh!
Don't forget to give him best answer :-)
just one point.....a gp cannot necessarily 'look' at a cervix and declare it normal! you need smear tests to prove that, potentially a peek with a camera and/or a biopsy at the extreme end of things. so.....ask to be referred to a gynaecologist for proper answers. it is their area of expertise, after all and this is causing you physical problems and worry/distress.

My gp took a swab to test for infection, she said she couldn't do a smear as I wasn't due one (had one about a year-18months ago) that was normal.. She said it looked normal.. But she wasn't an expert. She said the gynaecologist would review me.. But do you know what this involves? She mentioned something about an ultrasound?? I am a worrier, and I know some of my symptoms are my ibs playing up because of my anxiety.. I'm sure of that.. But there's always the what if! And I can never get the big 'C' out of my head.. I've too much to live for.. My 2 year old little lad is my absolute everything.. It's only since him being born I've turned into a worry freak!!
Icg...she is being referred to a gynaecologist.
gynae definitely

I've got an appointment for 4 weeks time!! I think that's a little excessive don't you?? The worry is really getting to me x
Ellie.......calm down.

4 weeks is fine with the symptoms that you have displayed.

If the worry is "getting to you", then go privately.

I've no idea how much that would cost.. ? Not really sure how to find out either.. My stomach feels like the day after I've been punched (like winded) no idea what that is and still getting 'period' pains so it is rather getting to me :((
Ellie....I understand.

Ring up the nearest Private hospital and ask to speak to a gynae secretary to enquire about a consultation fee.

My guess about £200.
