It's quite obvious that he had just finished inserting a GPS device behind the lining of the purse...It happens all the time.
Well done Stuey, of course
Mr Cake knows better than to invade my personal space.

A male friend who I was carrying a couple of items for in my bag soon learnt the error of his ways when I encountered him digging about in my bag. The scars took a while to heal........
People trying to hide an affair tend to keep stuff in 'safer' places than handbags/wallets etc
He's joined ISIS and just planted a bomb in your handbag, mrs mab-el.
I wouldn't think anything of it. He'd probably be looking for his bank card :-)
Wouldn't bother me at all, he'd usually be looking for change. IF I really thought he was snooping, there would be words.
I wouldn't do anything. My husband wouldn't go through my handbag unless perhaps he was looking for a pen. We have nothing to hide from each other.
I would also be very surprised to find Mr N looking through my bag, but I would not mind, he would have a valid excuse, there won't be hidden condoms, or love letters!
My hubby would never ever go through my handbag. Its not respectful, but there would be nothing in there of interest to him anyway.
If he was short of change for anything it would be no problem as we always shared everything, he would only have to ask.
Buy him one of his own
Was he looking for some beer money. My husband never looks through my bag. Same as retro if I say it's in my bag he brings it over for me to get what ever.
Or perhaps he is writing an article on mysteries of a woman's handbag.
I don't use a handbag on a day to day basis.

If I caught him going through my phone I think I'd be a bit angry.
My OH wouldn't have a clue how to use my phone ;)
Even if I ask Mr O to get something out of my bag, he hands me the bag rather than go in it.
If I caught him having a rummage I would only be mildly curious as by bag is usually full of old receipts and the odd item of makeup
My bag is awfully messy, I reckon he'd loose his hand if he put it in there.
My bag contains stuff I can't fit in my pockets.
Mr P only goes to my purse on a saturday morning to nip up shop and buy a newspaper while I'm still snoozing if my little coin dish is empty.
No problem at all.
