I seem to have lots of little flies in the house at the moment. Can anyone recommend a fly killer that doesn't have to be squirted from a can and is safe for pets.?

I have one of these on top of my kitchen cupboards. You can get smaller ones though.

Do you have to clear out the dead flies, Sycamore?

TWR!
The dead flies fall into a tray that is easily removable & just tip them in the bin and give the tray a brush. It is amzing what it attracts especially the little ones like fruit flies.

Fruit flies? Do we have fruit flies?
I used to have the same problem in my kitchen until someone gave me a basil plant in a pot which they brought from a local supermarket. I placed it on the windowsill and even with the window open, flies won't go anywhere near it.

I like that idea porilo. Off to get a basil plant tomorrow.

I have just googled fruit flies. I had no idea! They are fruit flies and I have just thrown away a manky pear from the fruit bowl. The fruit bowl is no longer a fruit bowl. All fruit, from now on, will be kept in the fridge.
Don't keep bananas in the fridge.

We don't eat bananas, Jackdaw. Thanks anyway.
I don't know if you can still get fly papers. Hairspray works well. It glues their wings so they drop to the ground.
