My laptop has just recently not been booting up, it goes to through BIOS but doesn't load Windows, the screen just goes blank with no activity on the hard drive. I have tried removing the hard drive to see if the same occurs, but it seems that the system is aware that a HDD is connected but won't load up. I've tried booting up from floppy and CD but nothing seems to work. BIOS also all looks fine. What can I do?

Hi...i had the same sorta problem with my PC. I posted a question and most people said it sonded like the motherboard battery had gone. I changed the one in my PC and now it works fine. I'd think about running it to your local PC repair, or if it's still under warrenty then contact the shop you got it from.
Or go to your local pound shop and buy a battery and stick it in yourself
