Police To Investigate Their Own Corruption Over Child Sex Ring !
This new enquiry into the corruption over the Lambeth child sex ring is to be conducted by the Police themselves. Isn't this a bit like asking the boy next to you to mark your homework ? Does anybody have much faith that the Police are capable of investigating corruption amongst their own ranks ?

She certainly didn't rule immunity out. I really can’t see how this can be swept under the carpet especially with an election looming – but I might be wrong.

It seems that Smith was so well known to Police, that they used his paedophile activities at Euston Station, in a training video !

She had a chance to be much more positive yesterday, when she appeared before the Select Committee, and she was very lack-lustre. As she is in the running to succeed dave, I would have thought she would have seized every opportunity to do the right thing, but she held back.
By the way, very little of this is "new" An investigation into Dolphin Square and the Elm Guest House, etc, has been ongoing for some time now. The Newsnight report only added another layer of evidence. Bear in mind that all this is not new to the Metropolitan Police in any shape or form....they have been aware of the corruption for nearly 40 years and did nothing about it.
I am keen for the truth to come out before any more of the perpetrators die.
What we need here is what I would have described in my years as an Engineer, as a "drains-up exercise" and the first thing that happens when you lift drains covers off, is a nasty smell emerges.

In a week where we have heard a Police Officer finally tell the truth, after lying for 25 years, I am not very optimistic of a good outcome to this whole affair of historical abuse and the Police corruption that shielded the Great and Good for so many years. This has been kicked into the long grass so often, that one day someone is not going to able to find the ball again. Mrs May made a complete horses ass of setting up the Enquiry into Historic Child Abuse last year and vulnerable time was wasted.
