Just announced that the author Terry Pratchett has died aged 66 from Alzheimer's Disease.

He managed to publish his last volume last summer.....it's the advanced stages, Baldric, that are so demeaning to the sufferer (and family) and don't I know.

Yes, very sad news. It's a dreadful disease and , sadly, no cure. May he rest in peace.

I've seen the disease in my family, my mother, my aunt, my gran and now, my sister.

He will be very much missed by many fans. Me included. A great author and a great man.
