whats wrong with the alarm?

Woodchopper sorry for not getting back to you but couldn't get in touch with them till today.Apparently it's a veritas alarm and the red light was flashing on the panel which meant the battery needed changing which they did but there is a sensor on the back door which now doesn't make a noise and they don't like to set it just in case it goes off
