I am trying to download books from the Free Daily Books site. When I click on a book I get 'ObjectHTMLDocument'. The book then vanishes without a chance to review it, let alone buy it. Any ideas out there please. It is really bugging me. Many thanks.

And I hate to rub salt in the wound percy, but I went on the site and downloaded 3 books with no problems- sorry!
No problem for me, either.

Have you got a Kindle device or app registered to your Amazon account?
Sorry percy no help in downloading books as I'm not a reader... but my wife is and appears to have no problems downloading from Amazon.
Having bought her a Kindle at xmas she managed to get through 5 books over the hols before going back to work. Plus another 5 before the end of the month. Having just received the credit card bill she has managed to get through nearly £40.00 worth in a month.
What I wanted to know is, are these free books any good providing you can manage to download them ?
Sorry to hijack your post !

Thanks for the help. I have downloaded three books, my Kindle arrived on Wednesday so I was straight in for the 'freebies'. This business started yesterday and has continued today. I have got an Amazon account. As others do not have a problem, it must be me. Thanks again.

P.S. The authors are not well known - not to me anyway! I find that it is a sort of lucky dip. You can get something good I guess. In my case - eventually.
Many/most of the free books aren't worth having...in my opinion.
Get your wife on to the 'daily deal' bit, 99p for each book, some really good ones, I've got about 300 sitting in my kindle waiting for me.
