Sad End To A Sad Story

Her dogs body has now been found, drowned in the sea. As an animal
lover and dog owner, my sympathies are with this lady this morning. What a beautiful looking dog.

I don't know the whole story, but is it easy to lose a dog taking it for a walk on the beach?

Newborough beach has masses of sand dunes and its not the first time dogs and people have gone missing. Its very beautiful but can be treacherous as well. You know what it is with dogs...they get a smell of something and they are off !

Yes, i suppose you are right........I have only taken dogs for a walk on Brighton, Southport and Scarborough beaches and would find it difficult to lose a dog.

What a terrible shame...at least the owner can say a proper goodbye to her. So sad.

I that it was going to be one of the stories where the dog goes into the water and the human goes to save it. Often the dog survives but the human perishes.

It is a sad story but the lady did all that she could to rescue her pal.

sqad - you're a dog man. I hope it wasn't one of those small yappy rat things. Or a Yorkshire Wolfhound :-)

At the time, I had a Welsh Springer Spaniel.

Since retiring an particularly to Menorca, I am a cat man.

She is indeed a beautiful dog, what a shame. At least she was loved and had a good life when so many don't. Very sad.

We were on that beach last Sunday and saw the missing posters in the local shop and on the telegraph poles etc. So sad for the owner:-(

Another sad end to another sad story, though as the victim is not canine it might not evoke quite so much sympathy.

Blackadder - both deaths are sad. The families of both will be devastated by their loss. It isn't a competition to see whose death is sadder.

As for the student - no parent should have to face outlining their offspring.
