Hi,
I work as a support worker and one of our tenants has locked himself out of his ipod. I have reset the ipod by holding the centre and menu buttons down at the same time, but how do I put a new password on the ipod for him ? -most possibly 1, 2, 3 and 4. His ipod has what look likes like a 'safe wheel' on the screen with four blocks above it, but when I put 4 new numbers in the blocks and press select nothing happens!! Any ideas?
Many Thanks,
Zuber.

Try this you will probably need to connect to a PC to do it. But once done you can turn off the passcode in settings to enable easier access.

Firstly, many thanks for your prompt answer. I have tried the method suggested on the apple site, but all I am getting is a flashing red circle on the screen with a red line across it !
Many Thanks,
Zuber.
If you are connected to iTunes that symbol means 'Do not disconnect'. If you can't resolve make an appointment at the Apple Store they should be able to help.
