You generally can't unless you have access to the folder on the server where the swf file is kept.
I made the assumption that you meant you wanted to save it from a web page.
save the webpage onto your computer and then where you have saved it you should have [page_name] files as a folder, it should be in there
the only way is to get some kind of flash file grabbing software on the internet. flash file capture of something. I used to have one, but when I stopped web designing I deleted it, but they are out there and it is possible.

After you watch a flash video, it should save in your temporary internet files. I use Internet Explorer, so I click Tools>Internet Options>Settings>View Files. Then only the folder that open, right click on a black part of the screen, and choose arrange icons by size (do this as a flash image is normally quite large compared to say, a picture on a website. Then you check the web address of the site where you watched it, and it will give these details within the folder. Then copy and paste it to your desktop.

You should then be able to use this in another website if you wish (copyright permitting), but if you just want to watch it standalone on your pc, I'm not sure how to do this as I never needed to do it before.
