As TW say it's not in itself but this can depend on your location.....some see it as having very strong ties to the protestant church though i'm sure it would officially deny any such assoiciation.
It would have strong ties to the so called protestant church as most of the services are held in them. When you say protestant church sft42, are you saying all churches that are not Roman Catholic?
Not at all. Church is used by most and me in this sense as a catch all phrase for either the buildings of worship or the orginisation itself......RC buildings can be known as chapels..anyways the distinction I was making was that it is certainly aligned more strongly towrds one faith then others.

PS. You never have disclosed which church you are an archbishop of have you??? Or would that be an ecumenical matter?

I think what archbishop is getting at is the use of the word protestant. By its very name it is protesting about something. When The Church of England was formed by Henry VIII, it was protesting against the church of Rome. So does it follow that all churches founded after the C of E are also protestant?
