I think I got what is described as a whiplash injury on November 17th....I was going down the rapids at Centre Parcs...got flung into a deep part and my head went back and hit the ledge. For that whole week I was barely able to move my head and neck....but slowly slowly I can move my neck now but I appear three weeks later to be left with a periodic shooting pain from the base of my head at the neck to the top of my head. I haven't been to the doctors....but should I? Thanks in advance

Yes, I would - you need a proper diagnosis. I had physio after I had whiplash in a car accident.
I agree with boxtops.
Up to you entirely........your decision.
You describe very well, the whiplash type of injury which usually is an annoyance rather than serious and should settle with analgesics.
Can.t see what the GP can do other than confirm your clinical diagnosis, which seems fairly accurate.

Bottom line...........up tp you.

Thanks Sqad.....just an afterthought though....i do periodically suffer with neuralgia....could these shooting pains be because the knock has sparked the neuralgia off? I only think this because the pain is similar....but the neuralgia is normal up and down the side of my face and this is at the back of my head where I knocked myself.
