Why do they make us think that Strictly is live on the Sunday night when we know full well it is not and that we know who has been eliminated before the show by searching the internet . I was out to dinner with the family yesterday and they would not believe me that it is all done on the Saturday .Probably didn't manage to convince them fully till they watched it and found out I was right for the dance off and Alison going out .
Why cant they just be honest and say it is Sunday . Not all people know the results just nosey people like me .

Yes I have seen the same audience members in the same clothes sat behind the judges on the Sunday show as on the Saturday show, so a bit of a giveaway! I agree that they should give up on trying to pretend that the results show has been filmed on Sunday. Most people have realised by now it is all done on a Saturday so they should come clean and admit it is a pre recorded...

In many cases it's just easier to conform to the idea that a show is taking place at the time it is screened

Chat shows are usually pre recorded a few days before and mentions of current events are usually referred to as if it is live e.g. it would be weird and confusing for the TV audience if a chat show guest said "i've only just got back from seeing Arsenal play in Holland" when it's Saturday and the game was on Wednesday.

Chaptazbri. You say why . My answer to that is why make out it is live even though they don't say the actual word live when most of us know it is pre recorded .
if most people know, then it's not a con!
They don't make out it is live.
If you see it that way you are reading something in which isn't there.
