The Power steering supply hose on my 02 Transit is badly corroded where it is connected to the power steering rack. Tried twisting it off, but due to the limited access, i'm not having a lot of luck.
Can't get much in the way of tools at it. Any tips or ideas as to how I can remove it.
Can't take it to a garage as the pipe has split.

Might be a good idea to drop the rack, you'll beable to get a spanner on it then.
You will still be able to drive it although steering will be heavy, system will be acting as a manual system, and you will feel some free movement on steering wheel. With all safety critical systems there is a manual backup
It might not do the power-steering pump any good to be driven with no fluid in the system.
Good point bhg I do not know what the belt run is - if single belt to power steering pump, could be removed
