Is this a fashion disaster, sexist, or just plain wrong? It seems to have sparked debate in many media outlets, as well as the twitter-sphere, and ensuered a lively debate.

IMO, is justs seems to be daft, but obviously someone has sponsered the taem to wear it, how ever I doubt the Men's team would have been approached to wear a similar outfit. Any comments?

Brilliant design and has done exactly what is required i.e. got the sponsors name emblazoned all over the place. Pure genius.

P.S. The padded section in cycling bibshorts is known as a chamois.
They are designed thus because they are meant to be worn minus underwear.

You're right CD: the point of advertising is to, well...advertise. However, I would have to take another look at the picture, in this case, to see what product or service is actually being advertised.

I can see San Matro and Bogota on the front, can't quite make out what name is on the shorts.
In a stage race you can rest assured they would get maximum coverage, the sponsors must be chuffed.
