Admit to smiling at it. Whilst not wishing to actually approve it does show how exasperating other people's lack of consideration for others can be, and the novel ways to "get one's own back" folk can find. The problem, of course, was with the parent who thinks parenting isn't someone they have to do. The kid is just a victim to a lack of guidance and control.

So parents with autistic children shouldn't answer their phones in public?
So, any parent shouldn't answer their phone in public?

Sometimes you just need to take or make a call.

\\\As we were almost through the door, he relaxed his body turned and with his blue eyes sparkling said to the shopkeeper "I'm autistic, you know".\\

LOL.
Course they can answer their phone, still able to take the child out of the situation.

I think a caring parent would have interrupted the phone call to deal with the child.
Oh yes Sqad, he went through a time of trying it on - doesn't wash with us - bad behaviour is just that.
Phone Calls from schools, doctors, vets...etc etc...should be answered.
mamy.....quite.
What did people do in the days of "no mobile phones".
Stayed in waiting for the call.
It's not something I would condone but can understand the bloke in question...
I grew up in a house with NO telephone! Unimaginable deprivation.
I grew up in a town where we didn't get BK until I was in my 20s.

That's real deprivation for you.
My town STILL hasn't got a McDonalds. That's how posh we are
You are posh, hc. Always suspected as much.
I'm suprised that BK sold all 23 of the pies to one customer .

Reminds me of the time i went into KFC and asked the person behind the counter if i could have two breast and was told by the young lady ( rather patronisingly ) that a chicken has only got two breasts ( never mind the fact that she was incorrect , because a chicken has only got one breast ) and i could only have one , because other customers will want breasts as well

Maybe this mother was also brought up in a "let them do what they like" household. And the cycle continues.
I just don't believe the story. There might be an element of truth in it but I think it's exaggerated to make it more interesting to read.
