I'm no expert in this field at all, so please could anyone tell me if it's possible to use a Dongle on one of those small tablet-thingies? Pardon my ignorance, but I don't want to install Broadband, as I don't need a House Phone. Can anyone help?

I think most dongles use USB slots, and not all tablets come with USB slots.

I have a Google Nexus and it has no slots at all for any cards or devices.

You can buy tablets that take sim cards (they are more expensive) so it can access the internet via the sim card.

Get a MiFi device.

This gives you mobile WiFi and you can connect up to 5 devices at once to it.
Assuming that you currently use a mobile phone, you should be able to set your phone up as a WiFi hotspot then you connect your tablet to the hotspot via its WiFi facility.
