why on earth would you want to take a dog into a café or restaurant?
nothing wrong with dog and chips, baldric. Ask 50 million Vietnamese and southern Chinese, they can't be wrong
Beckett's coffee shop. It's on Skinner street. Turn left just before the bridge and third right, I think. Most welcoming.
Should have said, " turn left just after the bridge" if coming from the main car parks. Then third on the right.
I love the Sassari Pizzeria which offers takeaways so you can eat in with your dog!
I thought I had given a sensible answer.
Graham, I thought you might have worked out that your answer wasn't there when I began my post.
The problem is that though dogs are not specifically barred from places that serve food, any where that allows dogs on the premises can get only a 1 star in the 'Scores on the Doors' food hygiene system. Few people will want to eat in a place where the food hygiene rating is 'Poor'
The only exception is for guide dogs which are allowed everywhere without the star rating being lowered.
My local 'Weatherspoons' will not allow dogs even at the outside tables as they consider the entire area a 'food service area' I was asked to leave there last week even though my dog was on a lead at the very edge of the outside service area almost in the car park.
