I see a lot of references to 'cloud' when using my computer, but haven't a clue what it means. Can someone explain please and is it something worth paying for? Thank you?

It means that instead of files and programs being stored on your own computer, they are stored on a remote server and you get them when you need them.

I admit to being somewhat lost in the clouds on this latest internet development.. It appears that instead of using-up space to store data on your home computer, you can put material out into space which is limitless. However, questions arise......How safe is it from prying eyes.? If I store Bank info in the clouds could it be accessed by others; easier than tapping into my home computer.?

You may already be using 'the cloud' without realising it. Web based email such as hotmail and Gmail store your emails remotely so you can access them from any pc or internet device wherever you are, as long as it is connected to the internet.
